What is PMVA Physical Intervention?
PMVA (Prevention Management of Violence and Aggression) Physical intervention is a set of skills used by competent staff (2 or more) to restrict the movement of an individual thereby preventing them from causing harm to themselves or others in a mental health setting. It is commonly known as restraint. Our training is not based on ‘Size or Strength’ but ‘Skill, Technique and adaptability.’
